Like many places, finding the right outfit that is comfortable and fitting for the occasion can be hard work. For a place such as the casino, getting your outfit right is important, not only for yourself, but to make sure you are abiding by the dress codes being enforced by them.
Nowadays, the dress codes aren’t very strict, and there is a lot more flexibility when it comes to outfit choice. For men, a nice shirt, smart jeans and shoes make for a perfect option. For women, it can be a little harder. Based on the latest trends on the high street, a nice pencil skirt or dress would be appropriate with smart shoes or heels. As long as no-one turns up shirtless there shouldn’t be too many problems.
Depending on the type of casino you are going too will depend on their dress codes. A wealthier casino will ask for shirt and tie from the men and possibly evening wear from the women. As much as we like to think every night at the casino will be like James Bond, not all need us to dress as fancy. A lot of them will turn you away at the door if they don’t think you are dressed appropriately so it might be worth calling ahead and asking if you’re really not sure to make sure your evening runs smoothly.
The weather can have a large impact on your outfit choice. Casinos have cloak rooms where you can leave your coats, bags, spare shoes and so on, making your journey in winter a little easier.
The option to turn up in your jogging bottoms and trainers is welcome in some casinos but be careful with this unless you know it is acceptable. A lot of them offer food in their restaurant and a bar. If you base your outfit around what you might wear if you went out for a meal, you can’t really go wrong.
Jeans, heels, a nice top and blazer is more common women’s attire for a Saturday night in the casino if you’re planning on just staying there. For most people, they like to dress up and treat it like a night out anyway, but for people who go on a regular basis, they probably find a t-shirt and jeans type outfit more comfortable.
