We are all interested in looking good and healthy, and one of the methods to show this is to care for our natural coat, the skin. If we have an internal problem, disease or illness, it shows immediately on our skin. The same thing happens for those with sensitive skin, which is prone to rashes, allergies or pimples and black spots. Luckily, there are many tips for glowing skin we can use. Some of the treatments we will present are also suitable for those with darker skin that wish to brighten up their complexion.

Tips for Glowing Skin

One of our favorite tips for glowing skin was this mixture of ground almonds with honey, yogurt and oatmeal, which gives the skin smoothness and shine if applied for 10 minutes. It should be rinsed off with warm water. You can also get glowing skin results by mixing a mashed banana with some milk. Apply it on the skin and leave for 20 minutes before rinsing with cold water.

Other tips for glowing skin include applying simple honey on the face and neck and leaving on for 20 minutes before rinsing with cold water. If you want to get rid of dead skin cells and have smoother skin, make your own scrub mask from one tablespoon of walnut powder, honey and lemon scrub. Gently scrub the mix on your face and wait until it dries before rinsing with cold water.

Oily skin can be corrected with a composition made up of grapes, egg white and lemon. Applied on the face for 15 minutes, this mask will tighten and tone your skin. The active elements may create tingling sensations, so don’t be alarmed, it’s natural; wash off with warm water. Buttermilk will also clean oily skin if dabbed gently on the skin.

Here is one of the more peculiar tips for glowing skin we found: you boil cabbage or cauliflower in some water and wash your face with the resulted water. This is an effective treatment for warts. If you want to brighten up your dark complexion, dry some orange peels and grind them to a powder. Mix the powder with some milk and apply the result on the face, leaving it for 25 minutes. Wash off with some water when you’re done. These homemade masks may react differently from person to person, acting more or less efficiently, but what is certain is that none of them has any negative side-effects you have to worry about.
